It’s Not You, It’s Me

After five years of a successful relationship with its program carrier, a specialized MGA found out that its carrier partner had been sold and new management had decided to shift the focus away from program business.  The carrier issued a notice of cancellation to the MGA that left it with few options and very little time to find a replacement carrier.  Atlantic was able to tap into its network of program carriers, filter the program to fit the appetite of a select number of carriers and utilize its day-to-day working relationship with the carriers’ senior management to streamline the due diligence for both parties and successfully incept a new relationship.  With little disruption among reinsurers, Atlantic was able to modify the reinsurance structure to fit the risk comfort level of the new carrier.
